HOUSTON, Texas - At an afternoon news conference today in Houston, Chivas and Dynamo players and coaches were all smiles as they posed for photos behind a suitcase full of money, representing the million dollar prize for the SuperLiga winner.
In a light-hearted exchange, Houston Coach Dominic Kennear jokingly said that he had requested and received permission from Chivas coach Efrain Flores to suit up goal scorer Dwane DeRosario, who is suspended due to a red card.
Both teams trained at Roberson Stadium today. The Dynamo, looking to rest it's banged-up roster, held a short and light morning workout, while Chivas trained in the evening, working primarily on offensive drills.
